NEW YORK (AP) -- A union representing New York City bus
drivers has filed a lawsuit to stop the police department from making drivers
leave their routes to transport Wall Street protesters arrested in their
anti-corporate greed campaign to holding facilities.

The lawsuit was filed Monday in federal court in Manhattan
by the Transport Workers Union of Greater New York. The lawsuit said police
officers on Saturday ordered bus drivers in Brooklyn to drive to the Brooklyn
Bridge where police made more than 700 arrests in the Occupy Wall Street
campaign.

The lawsuit asks for a court order to stop the police
department from using city bus drivers to transport people arrested by police.
The city Law Department said in a statement that the NYPD's actions were
proper

Screening of 9/11 Tribute Movie

The Conservative Society for Action is pleased to sponsor a showing of a tribute film - 9/11: Reflections Then and Now. The movie was directed by Jeff Bruzzo, a friend and member of CSA.

The movie, a docu-drama will run for one hour with approximately a 30 minute introduction before and a 30 minute discussion afterwards. Please note the purpose of this movie is to pay tribute to all individuals who were involved with the horrid attacks on 9/11/01.

9/11: Reflections Then and Now
(A Tenth Anniversary Tribute Film)

The purpose of this film is to highlight the survivors, families, and friends on the tenth anniversary of 9/11; how they dealt with the past ten years and their thoughts on the future from here on.

The Mission: To bring the recollections, feelings and emotions of the past ten years to film, with an emphasis on going forward.

The Goal: To create a One Hour film highlighting the lives and stories of the Survivors, Families, and Friends over the past ten years since September 11, 2001. The video is to be produced in a non-political manner, focusing strictly on the stories and accounts of those involved, regardless of political ideology or religion.

Movie Synopsis: Interviews end on Tuesday, April 19th , 2011. We have gathered the best possible cast of participants who represent a multi-faceted view of the theme, who have shared the past ten years since the horrific day of September 11, 2001.

The Cast consists of former and current NYFD and NYPD, current politicians, and media personalities, as well as numerous civilian survivors, family and friends.

Thanks to all those who are sharing their stories of Bravery, Faith, Hope, Charity, and Courage.

TEA Party Imposter in New York CD26

Deer Park, NY -- Special election candidate Jack Davis from New York's CD 26 is an imposter, running as a TEA Party candidate despite intense opposition from local TEA party organizations.

Davis has run for New York's 26th Congressional District seat three times as a Democrat and is now an enrolled Independent. He paid dozens of professional notaries to collect signatures so he could run on a "Tea Party" line on the ballot.

"Though it is perfectly legal to petition for a place on the ballot, it is unconscionable for a liberal Democrat to impersonate at Tea Party candidate in order to undermine the Republican-Conservative candidacy of Jane Corwin," said Stephen Flanagan, founder of the 5000-member Tea party group Conservative Society for Action.

"Davis has stooped pretty low. He is stealing the "Tea Party" name and using it to misrepresent himself to voters. This is a clear attempt to use the popularity of the Tea party movement to destroy a Republican-Conservative candidate."

Davis is nothing more than a Tea party imposter and he must be exposed.

The Conservative Society for Action calls on all respected Tea Party groups in New York State to repudiate Davis and expose his long record of liberal politics. Davis has plenty of personal money to bring to the campaign and he is expected to make a good showing because of the Tea Party line.

"Many people in New York support the Tea Party movement," Flanagan said. "It would be a shame if Davis gets away with this big lie and deception. Davis is nothing more that an imposter attempting to create bad press for the Tea party movement. I call upon the nation's independent press to expose this fraud."

The Conservative Society for Action also urges Tea Party members from around the state to contact their counterparts in CD 26 to make sure Davis is exposed for the fraud he is.

Angle: Reid helped child molesters get Viagra
LAS VEGAS (AP) — In the ugliest ad so far in Nevada’s contentious Senate race, Republican Sharron Angle accuses Democrat Harry Reid of helping to put Viagra in the hands of child molesters. The TV spot is the latest in a string of scare-tactic ads flooding the Nevada airwaves in the final weeks of the dead-heat contest.

Reid, the Senate Majority Leader, has portrayed Angle as extreme and crazy, using her own words and policy positions to try to undermine her credibility. But that strategy has not pushed him forward in the polls.

A recent wave of inflammatory attack ads has helped Angle remain steady.

“Want to know just how out of touch Harry Reid is?” the female announcer says at the beginning of the latest ad. “Spending $787 billion on a stimulus that failed is a start. Or Reid voting to give illegal aliens special tax breaks and Social Security benefits is another big clue. But here’s the kicker: Reid actually voted to use taxpayer dollars to pay for Viagra for convicted child molesters and sex offenders.”

The ad concludes, “What else could you ever need to know about Harry Reid?”

The vote refers to the federal health care law.

Before it passed, Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., proposed an amendment barring federal expenditures for supplying Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs to sex offenders. Democrats called it a political stunt aimed at killing the legislation. The amendment died.

The health care law does not single out convicted sex offenders.

Angle’s campaign defended the ad.

“Harry Reid was so intent on passing ObamaCare that he was even willing to give Viagra to child molesters to do it,” campaign spokesman Jerry Stacy said.

Previous Angle ads have claimed that Reid backed special benefits for illegal immigrants. Numerous reports have debunked the allegations, but the campaign continues to push it while boasting that linking Reid to illegal immigrants has swayed independents.

Reid spokesman Kelly Steele called the ad proof that Angle, “will do or say anything she thinks will help get her elected.”

Reid was the first to go negative, unleashing a chain of cutting ads after Angle’s upset primary win in June. But Angle, a tea party favorite and former state legislator, soon raised enough cash to fight back.

In other factually shaky ads, Reid said Angle supports sending jobs overseas and Angle called Reid the best friend illegal immigrants ever had.
