Comment by Christian Jorgensen on November 11, 2011 at 9:02pm Awwwwwww Cheryl, you so sweet, I cant tell you how much that means to me to hear. It is pretty obvious you, Nan, Donna, & all have a deep appreciation for all we went through whether or not you understand what it was. All I know is it was a LONG TIME !!! As a 17-18 year old it was an eternity and the uncertainty of coming back or not was a load to deal with. Your thank you is priceless.

Comment by Nan Bailey on November 10, 2011 at 8:28pm On the other topic of God and Science and the Big Bang Theory: I have never felt that they were at odds with each other. The more we discover about the wonders of the multiple universes, the more it makes sense to believe in a Creator. In my Father's house there are many mansions. And now that we have discovered the tiny particle that travels faster than light, perhaps someday we will be able to visit some of them.
Comment by Nan Bailey on November 10, 2011 at 8:18pm I agree: I forget things all the time. One of my friends and I joke that between the two of us we can just about finish a thought. Sometimes it takes me three (3) days to remember something and it will pop into my head while I'm doing something else. [Then I write it down.] I joke around that the reason I remember my name is because I've had it for so long! I think of the mind as a huge filing cabinet: the older you get, the more drawers and files you have. So the brain has to rifle through all those drawers and all those files to find that one piece of paper within a certain context or situation!

Comment by Jarhead on November 10, 2011 at 1:46pm "Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it." --Thomas Paine in "The Crisis" (September 11, 1777)
Comment by Christian Jorgensen on November 10, 2011 at 12:18pm Exactly, I feel the same way, it is just ludicrous the way they twist things and use for judgment against a persons character. Just get to the damn issues for crying out loud. How many advisor's does any president have to keep him on point ? One person couldn't possibly keep up with it all.
Comment by Rick Perry on November 10, 2011 at 12:00pm I had a discussion with someone today about the loss of memory that Rick Perry had in the debate last night. Everyone is touting it as some major flub, I do not know anyone who has never done that exact thing. I can be talking and forget someone's name that I've known for years, even though I can see their face in my mind. I blame his lack to f ind the right words on the handlers. We have created a monster that may never be contained again in Presidential campaigns. By that I mean, all the polls, media coverage, and the handlers each candidate has. If you don't like the current poll, take another one, or you don't like the CNN poll let's look at the Rasmussen poll. The lamestream media puts extra pressure on them by making sure no one forgets any gaffes they make and show them over and over and over again. Then you have the handlers, which may actually be the worst, cause they are the ones listening to the polls, and the media and directing the candidate on what they can and can't say. Wouldn't it be nice if we could just watch these guys debate without any of that, maybe then we could actually detect what kind of character they have, where they actually stand on issues and what they actually believe. Instead of wading through sound bytes trying to interpret what they meant.
