Eurozone officials say they have reached an agreement for a second bailout of Greece which includes new financing of 130 billion euros and which will force private bondholders to take larger losses than expected. The agreement is expected to reduce the debt of Greece by about 100 billion euros.

Gallup: Americans rate Reagan, Clinton best of recent presidents

Presidents Day -- or Washington's Birthday, if you prefer -- is a time to celebrate all of America's past commanders in chief. Among the nation's most recent leaders, two are celebrated far more than others: Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton.
That's the finding of Gallup, at least, which recently asked Americans to judge how the last eight presidents will go down in history.
Sixty-nine percent said Reagan would go down as "outstanding" or "above average," compared to just 10% who said "below average" or "poor." Clinton was rated favorably by 60% of those surveyed, a 10-point improvement from the last time Gallup asked the question in early 2009. Twelve percent rated him negatively, down from 20% three years ago.
No other president came close to those two in terms of positive ratings. Just under four-in-10 said President Obama will be viewed positively, while slightly fewer thought he'd ultimately get a negative rating.
Richard Nixon received the worst score of the group, with 55% rating him as below average or poor. George W. Bush also fared poorly, with 47% giving him a negative grade. That's down, though, from 59% who said that just before he left office.
Gerald Ford, the only unelected leader of the bunch, got the highest number of votes for being "average" -- 54%. Forty-four percent felt the same about George H.W. Bush.
Gallup found, predictably, that Democratic voters tended to think more highly of Democratic presidents, and the same for Republican voters of Republican presidents. Still, even 47% of Democrats said Reagan would be viewed positively, which is 16 percentage points better than what Democrats thought of Jimmy Carter.

I have been so good at keeping up with Sarah Palin's Birthday and Reagan and Lincoln's birthdays.

For the past 3 years I have done good until this year darn.

Rick Santorum opposed TARP.

 

He didn’t cave when Chicken Littles in Washington invoked a manufactured crisis in 2008. He didn’t follow the pro-bailout GOP crowd — including Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich — and he didn’t have to obfuscate or rationalize his position then or now, like Rick Perry and Herman Cain did. He also opposed the auto bailout, Freddie and Fannie bailout, and porkulus bills.

 

Santorum opposed individual health care mandates — clearly and forcefully — as far back as his 1994 U.S. Senate run. He has launched the most cogent, forceful fusillade against both Romney and Gingrich for their muddied, pro-individual health care mandate waters.

 

He voted against cap and trade in 2003, voted yes to drilling in ANWR, and unlike Romney and Gingrich, Santorum has never dabbled with eco-radicals like John Holdren, Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi. He hasn’t written any “Contracts with the Earth.”

Thanks Michael I have been frustrated about this election cycle,

We are down to 4 candidates, and if we don't get it right this time, we will be stuck with Obama or a Mitt Romney one in the same if you ask me.

Newt Gingrich is okay, but his true sides are shining through.

Looks like to me Senator Rick Santorum is the only one with honest intentions.

No not perfect looks like they all have some flaws.

But Mitt Romney is a Democrat in Republican clothes

Newt Gingrich is more moderate than people think, but better than Romney I would think,.

Ron Paul is a Libertarian to much so I would not trust him for the Isolation of America and bringing home all of our troops would be a big mistake. And Israel is our ally we need to help and protect Israel.

So now to Senator Rick Santorum, nothing wrong with raising the debt ceiling for the right reasons, all Presidents ask to raise the debt ceiling from time to time.

President George W. Bush was a war time President so it takes money to protect our Nation. All senators and Congress people have been known to take ear marks to help their states.

So I don't think Rick Santorum was totally wrong in his dealings with Senate and Congress and the President of the USA.

So my final conclusion is Rick Santorum for President, since Governor Rick Perry dropped out.

Well the source you got your information I would not trust them Christian,

Ron Paul says he does not do all of his writings on the blogs or sites he is on.

When he is confronted about a commit or what was written he denies ever knowing about the so called writings that was done.

The people that blog for Ron Paul love digging up information and twisting it around to benefit Ron Paul.

They have Ron Paul winning all the time on his sites of Liberty and American Dreams blogs or sites.

The John Birch Society College and people belonging to this group, along with Alex Jones does alot of Ron Paul's writings so Ron Paul can deny ever writing them or says someone in his campaign wrote the articles.

So I don't trust Ron Paul not at all.

and when you look up Ron Paul alot of the stuff on Ron Paul has been corrected.

I don't trust no one that wants to Isolate American People and not support Israel our ally.
