As I watched FOX News this morning and observed that the president's "Positive" side has increased to "54%"!  And I had to ask my self just who and why is his polling points reflect an increase?  Nothing changed accept some of the "lies" from his lips, I should not be suuprised, I wrote that there would be some in the "Independent" group that will change on a dime for they have no core values, they just vote when they hear words spoken that make their ears feel good.  God help us if those same independents have not found what they believe in strong enough to stand up for those values come 2012, and vote for whatever tickels their fancy at that moment!  My values today are the same as what my father instilled in me when I enlisted to serve in the military for the first and consecutive times there after.  My values will never change because someone says what I want to hear, they will have to demonstrate that they believe in what they are spewing from their lips, something "Socialists" can do wi thout blinking or feeling guilt over.  They just perpetuate the lie, telling it over and over until those without strong core values join the flock of sheep and follow the leader over the cliff.  Stay strong Christian Conservatives, and keep the faith, for it is there that the truth lay, and it is there that we will find our way home.  Please don't allow false words guide you to our country's doom!  Please don't allow your values to bend in the wind, use the "Oak" as your example, not the "willow"!  Milt

And thank you Sandra for your lovely response that reminds me why I continue to write about those things I care about. Soon enough of those poor souls who day dream about things they once believed in are only passing dreams of the socialistic world they embrace, they embrace it now and will always embrace it as it is in their DNA and they cannot change. But just as Socialism is in their DNA, God and a free America is in ours, and you can be sure that we will never change or want to change as we embrace what we know that our heavenly father entrusted us to defend and protect what he has provided. Never, ever think for one moment that you have reason to fear that our loving father will abandon us and leave us to fend for ourselves. Our God asks little of his children, he only asks that we believe, something not hard to do. So my dear friend, take hold of our creator's hand and follow him into the light where we all will find the peace and hope promised. He said "I am that I am" and all we have to believe is that his words are true follow him and his blessings will be abundant. Hang in there with me Sandra, hang in there and we will know what he has in his vision for those who do not lose faith, something we must never do. God bless you and all those who are feeling lost and abandoned, even after the historic events of Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010. At some point we just have to accept that what he has given us is his gift and know only that good things follow. Whatever is in his plan we must never lose sight of all the wonders left to us by the God who told us, "I am that I am" and understand those words are the answer, not the question. I leave you, and all who trust that Christ is who he says he is, our "Savior" with what I believe in. God bless you and all God's children. It is for the two young sons in the photo that I keep my hope and faith for, they are worth it although one has passed on and sits with God while the other is doing what I was doing at his age, in places I cannot speak of, doings thing I can only pray for him to be protected by God's love. They are worth so much more than what I have to offer. Milt and Val Gregory..........

What Happened to America?

A friend of mine from the world of silent warriors, the Intelligence Community, and it really made me stop and think. How do we not think about this every day?

The following comes from the Fort-Worth-Christianity publication and poses questions we all should be thinking about – the direction of the home of the brave.

What has America Become?

Has America become the land of special interest and home of the double standard?

Let’s see: If we lie to congress, it’s a felony and if congress lies to us it’s just politics; if we dislike a black person we’re racist and if a black dislikes whites it’s their first Amendment right; the government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals and they do almost nothing for the victims; in public schools you can teach that homosexuality is OK, but you better not use the word God in the process; you can kill an unborn child, but it’s wrong to execute a mass murderer; we don’t burn books in America, we now rewrite them; we got rid of the communist and socialist threat be renaming them progressives; we are unable to close our border with Mexico but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in Korea; if you protest against President Obama’s policies you’re a terrorist, but if you burned an American flag or George Bush in effigy it was your first amendment right.

You can have pornography on TV or the internet, but you better not put a nativity scene in a public park during Christmas; we have eliminated all criminals in America, they are now called sick people; we can use a human fetus for medical research, but it’s wrong to use an animal.

We take money from those who work hard for it and give it to those who don’t want to work; we all support the Constitution, but only when it supports our political ideology; we still have freedom of speech, but only if we are being politically correct; parenting has been replaced with Ritalin and video games; the land of opportunity is now the land of hand outs; the similarity between Hurricane Katrina and the gulf oil spill is that neither president did anything to help.

And how do we handle a major crisis today? The government appoints a committee to determine who’s at fault, then threatens them, passes a law, raises our taxes, tells up the problem is solved so they can get back to their reelection campaign.

What has happened to the land of the free and home of the brave?

Twice this month I have had a young lady (two different ladies) with credentials showing that she was with the "Census" and although they were not asking about my house and members, they were asking about a house on either side of me that have been empty for a while. I got to talking to the last young lady and I ask her outright if she was asked to do anything she felt uncomfortable with and to my surprise she responded that she had, but declined to say what, and I did not push it. But she did make it clear that people in her group are being asked to do things that were not ethical and if it were not for the money she would not continue doing the job. I found that interesting and just wanted you to be aware, and not to be afraid to ask questions, you'll be surprised, some will answer you with either partial or total truths. Interesting............... jrmfg

God heard my Prayer today

God heard my prayer todayNow I know God hears my prayer’s every day, but today, I really felt he was paying attention to me as I said a prayer for my son who is in serious harm’s way right now, you know, that part of the world where everyone is demonstrating with violence all around. No sooner than I finished my prayer, a simple prayer, that went something like this:“Dear Lord, I know you hear from me every day and I am always asking for so many things related to our troops, my son, and my…Continue

Ten Commandments of Human Relations

The fundamental issue in human ethical behavior is summarized by Jesus in what we have come to call "The Golden Rule." Jesus put it this way:

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 7:12 TNIV).

It asks us to test our treatment of others by putting ourselves in their place. Treat others the way you would want them to treat you in the same or similar circumstance.

Somebody took that principle and translated it into Ten Commandments of Human Relations. You may have seen this anonymous piece, for it circulates in a variety of settings. In case you have missed it, I am reproducing it here.

Speak to people. There is nothing as nice as a cheerful word of greeting.

Smile at people. It takes 72 muscles to frown, only 14 to smile.

Call people by name. It is music to anyone’s ears to hear the sound of his or her name.

Be friendly and helpful.

Be cordial. Speak and act as if everything you do is genuinely a pleasure. If it isn’t, learn to make it so.

Be genuinely interested in people. You can like almost anyone, if you try.

Be generous with praise, cautious with criticism.

Be considerate of the feelings of others. There are usually three sides to a controversy — yours, the other fellow’s, and the correct one.

Be alert to serve. What counts most in life is what you do for others.

Live with a good sense of humor, a generous dose of patience, and a dash of humility appropriate to being human.

Made in God’s image, all of us have something to be valued!

The great challenge in human experience is not work skills, but people skills. That is, research has shown that the majority of people who fail in their vocation do so because they cannot get along with people.

You might think through the meaning of these ten common-sense ideas for your own workplace and personal activity. But what about the larger setting for your daily life? These principles work everywhere you go, for they are about showing respect to the people you meet in all those places.

Made in God’s image, all of us have something to be valued, affirmed, and acknowledged by others. But let it begin with us to acknowledge it in them. As the cycle of giving and receiving enlarges, the human community comes alive.
