Prayer - Watcher
( Isaiah 62 )
I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. - Isaiah 62:6,7
Watch-men in the East were alert as they went their rounds. Alarms were given with a loud cry. Isaiah uses the illustration of the watch-men in respect to prayer ( 62:6,7 ). All who believe in instructing and warning people should recognize the importance of prayer - ardent,humble, holy prayer ! Watching upon the high tower is a sacrificial task, but " praying- breath" is never in vain. Can we say that we are among the prayer- watchers who keep not silence ( 62:6 )
