We Can’t Afford To Sleep

Matthew 13:25 says, “25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way”. Second Corinthians 2:11 says, “11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not…

This Black Does Not Think Bundy is Racist

Pick a card, any card. Racist. Sexist. Homophobic. We all knew it was only a matter of time before Democrats/Liberals played one or more of their Big Three Cards to silence, intimidate and crush opposition to their latest power grab/tyrannical attack on our freedom.…

The electoral College DOES need fixing!!!!

If the Electoral College had done it's "homework" Barack would not be our President because he is NOT a natural born

citizen.  His birth certificate was signed by his supposed father, the elder Obama. But the elder Obama was never an

American citizen. Ergo Barack Obama was not a natural born citizen. To be natural born BOTH PARENTS must be

American citizens. Only natural born citizens are eligible to be our Presidents according to our Constitution!!!!

I think the…

A Lesson in Liberal/Democratic Party Hypocrisy

What do Herman Cain, Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Tim Scott, Michele Bachmann, Condoleeza Rice, Allen West, Dr. Ben Carson and TW Shannon all have in common?

Calm down Joseph. I see your hand, but I want someone else to answer for a…

Atheist Lobby Prefers Debauchery Among Athletes

The Freedom From Religion Foundation is outraged that the coach of Clemson University's football team is promoting an atmosphere on his team that is “too religious”.

What college sports really needs instead are more sex and drug scandals.

As evidence of its claim, the atheist front group is citing the inordinate number of players on the team attending VOLUNTARY Bible studies.

Perhaps even worse, the coach subjects those under his leadership to non-sectarian Scriptural…

The Beat Goes On: Opposing Obama is Racist.

Alas, another reporter asked me the same question I have been repeatedly asked for the past five years. “As an African American, why are you a member of the Tea Party?” It dawned on me to ask the reporter, “If you are a thinking patriotic American, why are you NOT a member of the Tea Party?”…

We seem to have only one branch of government now and it is our President Obama!!!

Obama has ruled by E.O.s. Only FDR issued more of them. But FDR's were to make right some mistakes, but Obama's

have all been to get more control over our lives!!! He now controls all natural resources including water. He has essentially ignored Congress and our Constitution. Will he find a way to legally run for another term??? He is trying to

pack the Supreme Court with ultra liberals.  The worst one was  the ex dean of Harvard Law School who has tried for years to destroy…

A Little Past Due Love for Cousin Glen

As a 9 or 10 year old, my knowledge of the situation was limited. Therefore, I can not pass judgment on the adults. I do not know what was done or not done to rescue my cousin Glen, a little boy who was severely abused by his mom, my late aunt Bummie (a nickname). My dad threatened to report Aunt Bummie to the…

Further Insights into My 86 Year Old Black Dad

It occurred to me that my 86 year old black dad is a man of “firsts” -- a born pioneer, boldly going were no other black had gone before.

In 1946, Dad and Jackson were the only black Merchant Marines on their ship and the first “coloreds” to land…

19 Signs Of Very Serious Economic Trouble On The Horizon By Michael Snyder, on April 5th, 2012  Most Americans have no idea how much economic trouble is heading our way.  Most of them just assume that everything will eventually “return to normal” just like it…Continue

Ten Commandments of Human Relations

The fundamental issue in human ethical behavior is summarized by Jesus in what we have come to call "The Golden Rule." Jesus put it this way:

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 7:12 TNIV).

It asks us to test our treatment of others by putting ourselves in their place. Treat others the way you would want them to treat you in the same or similar circumstance.

Somebody took that principle and translated it into Ten Commandments of Human Relations. You may have seen this anonymous piece, for it circulates in a variety of settings. In case you have missed it, I am reproducing it here.

Speak to people. There is nothing as nice as a cheerful word of greeting.

Smile at people. It takes 72 muscles to frown, only 14 to smile.

Call people by name. It is music to anyone’s ears to hear the sound of his or her name.

Be friendly and helpful.

Be cordial. Speak and act as if everything you do is genuinely a pleasure. If it isn’t, learn to make it so.

Be genuinely interested in people. You can like almost anyone, if you try.

Be generous with praise, cautious with criticism.

Be considerate of the feelings of others. There are usually three sides to a controversy — yours, the other fellow’s, and the correct one.

Be alert to serve. What counts most in life is what you do for others.

Live with a good sense of humor, a generous dose of patience, and a dash of humility appropriate to being human.

Made in God’s image, all of us have something to be valued!

The great challenge in human experience is not work skills, but people skills. That is, research has shown that the majority of people who fail in their vocation do so because they cannot get along with people.

You might think through the meaning of these ten common-sense ideas for your own workplace and personal activity. But what about the larger setting for your daily life? These principles work everywhere you go, for they are about showing respect to the people you meet in all those places.

Made in God’s image, all of us have something to be valued, affirmed, and acknowledged by others. But let it begin with us to acknowledge it in them. As the cycle of giving and receiving enlarges, the human community comes alive.
