UP DATE: I am glad that this story unfolded as it did, because it validated, especially for me how anything can be twisted, manipulated and spun to sound or appear what it really is not. Here is the entire speech in its…

A Heartbreaking Unspoken Consequence of Obama

Decades of socialist/progressive indoctrination in our schools, media and culture, plus six years of Obama, has yielded a devastating unspoken consequence. It is the loss of who we use to be as Americans.…

Our Guy Lost, But the Battle is Not Over

I was alone in a Biloxi Mississippi hotel room when a TV reporter named Cochran the winner over Tea Party candidate Chris McDaniel in the extremely close GOP runoff election.  Losing is always heartbreaking. And yet, I…

The POOR Clintons

Hillary continues to whine about being POOR. Maybe its because she had to give back the Whitehouse china she took when they left the Whitehouse. She was paid $8 MILLION for a book she supposedly wrote. Or was there a ghost writer

involved. She is not the smartest woman on EARTH. That title belongs to Katherine Von Savant who has never given a

wrong answer on any IQ test she has taken.

Every past president since Truman has had  secret service guards for the rest of their…

More lies from Obama and his henchmen!!!!!

The gal who is head of the IRS says her emails have been deleted. They were emails about taxing various companies and

organizations that apply for a tax free status. She has a BIG PROBLEM now. The IRS has had for years a  contract with a company that   saves ALL of IRS'S emails!!!! ERGO those emails still exist and will prove that those organizations

not favored by Obama's henchmen didn't stand a chance to become "tax free".

A few days ago, a post appeared on Facebook.  It was rather brief, and rather poorly written, but it had a message in it.  Fortunately, the person posting was willing to remove it from Facebook, pending an investigation into the veracity of what was said, as well as what was implied, in that post.  The post was about Robert Beecher, who was recently…

Gun Ruling Undermines More Than Second Amendment

In the case of Abramski vs. The United States, the Supreme Court ruled that federal law does not allow someone to purchase a gun on behalf of another party without declaring such an intention from the outset.

As a police officer, Bruce Abramksi was allowed a discount on a firearm that his uncle is reported to have wanted.

As upstanding citizens, Bruce and his uncle facilitated the transaction through a licensed firearms dealer.

All of the involved parties were legally…

June 17, 1825: Daniel Webster Speech - The Bunker Hill Monument

On December 12, 1774 (four months before Lexington and Concord), the delegates from the various county Committees of Safety, 'deputies', met at Annapolis, Maryland. The following is from the report of their meeting, constituting an endorsement of the Association of the Continental Congress.

Though all of the Resolutions are…

Shame on Jonathan Capehart

Mr Capehart, your Washington Post hit piece insidiously designed to smear Chris McDaniel who is a decent and honorable man goes beyond the pale of low-rent race-baiting politicking. But, I get it. You are black which grants you carte blanche to irresponsibility…

President Hillary? No Way! She Should Be Done.

I could not believe what I had just heard on my TV. I was outraged. I was angry. Is this woman a complete idiot or is she the most condescending, arrogant and self-serving politician on the planet? This was my reaction upon hearing Hillary Clinton say regarding the…

June 9, 2014 (updated June 10, 2014)

Note: In the first article, I explained that all of the parties had not yet been contacted.  The article went to press because the efforts of Mainstream Media to tie the Millers to the Bundy Ranch had to be addressed, as early as possible.  Though I seldom put out a story until all of the necessary research is completed, this was an exception.  What…

Ten Commandments of Human Relations

The fundamental issue in human ethical behavior is summarized by Jesus in what we have come to call "The Golden Rule." Jesus put it this way:

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 7:12 TNIV).

It asks us to test our treatment of others by putting ourselves in their place. Treat others the way you would want them to treat you in the same or similar circumstance.

Somebody took that principle and translated it into Ten Commandments of Human Relations. You may have seen this anonymous piece, for it circulates in a variety of settings. In case you have missed it, I am reproducing it here.

Speak to people. There is nothing as nice as a cheerful word of greeting.

Smile at people. It takes 72 muscles to frown, only 14 to smile.

Call people by name. It is music to anyone’s ears to hear the sound of his or her name.

Be friendly and helpful.

Be cordial. Speak and act as if everything you do is genuinely a pleasure. If it isn’t, learn to make it so.

Be genuinely interested in people. You can like almost anyone, if you try.

Be generous with praise, cautious with criticism.

Be considerate of the feelings of others. There are usually three sides to a controversy — yours, the other fellow’s, and the correct one.

Be alert to serve. What counts most in life is what you do for others.

Live with a good sense of humor, a generous dose of patience, and a dash of humility appropriate to being human.

Made in God’s image, all of us have something to be valued!

The great challenge in human experience is not work skills, but people skills. That is, research has shown that the majority of people who fail in their vocation do so because they cannot get along with people.

You might think through the meaning of these ten common-sense ideas for your own workplace and personal activity. But what about the larger setting for your daily life? These principles work everywhere you go, for they are about showing respect to the people you meet in all those places.

Made in God’s image, all of us have something to be valued, affirmed, and acknowledged by others. But let it begin with us to acknowledge it in them. As the cycle of giving and receiving enlarges, the human community comes alive.
