Under One Banner

A campaign afoot can bring us all Under One Banner.

It is a Petition campaign, but it is not like the petition campaigns that are so common on the Internet, today. This campaign is for individual petitions, each to be delivered by hand, or by mail, or even by email, to the Representative and Senators who are supposed to be serving you.

Its purpose is to not have one petition with ten thousand… Continue

WE DRAW THE LINE... How People Make History in the State Capitol on August 29.2009

It’s been a hake of a ride to me this pass year, provably most of you feel the same way, one think I’m sure off, it’s that I have feel this rush for life many years go, and once again I live the moment when survival, courage, will, spirit, commitment, endurance, patriotism, freedom, liberties, rights, etc, became the MOST important part of my life.

For over a year I been telling…

Very nice article I found on Revolution

Here's a nice little article that describes very well what is going on in American at the present time.

Revolution by Herbert E. Meyer

By Herbert E. Meyer

During the last 30 years we Americans have been so politically divided that some of us have called this left-right, liberal-conservative split a "culture war" or even a "second Civil War." These descriptions are no longer accurate. The precise,… Continue

How to Argue with a Guilty Progressive

How to Argue With a (Guilty) Liberal

By Carey Roberts | Published 08/27/2009 | From Our Writers | Unrated

Carey Roberts

Like a demanding and ill-mannered child, liberals are used to getting their way. Whenever they lapse into the losing side of an argument, they reflexively resort to name-calling and mud-slinging. Epithets like “neo-Nazi,” “crypto-fascist,” and “imperialist stooge” buzz like mosquitoes hovering over a Potomac swamp.

But how many conservatives…

Subject: Let everyone know what to do

Dear Friends, Neighbors and Citizens of the Good Ol USA.... it is time that all of us takes a stand and lets Congress know that it is not only the Presidency title that is at stake here but their very livelihoods that they have added yearly bonuses and increases to since their inception into the Congressional seats. It is time for them to give back what is ours or to be moved aside.

Do not let others take the reins over our what… Continue

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.

From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing...

Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him.

This alone is amazing.

If you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the… Continue

Man Plows "Say No to Obama" Into Texas Field

A Lubbock man took out his frustrations with the Obama health care plan recently by plowing his protest into a field of weeds. The plan could cost taxpayers trillions of dollars over the next several years, MSNBC reports.

Sam Bates, a former art teacher cut down some weeds and left a large message visible from the sky: “Say no to Obama!”

"I thought, maybe some pilots flying from here to Dallas would get a good chuckle,"… Continue

America's Eulogy

While I am by no means willing to give up on America! While “doctors” like me known as patriots continue to fight for the life of this nation, while we continue to try to infuse her with life saving blood known as sacrifice and liberty, while we search our “medical books” known as the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, there is still a chance she may die. There is a chance Lady Liberty won’t live to see another generation raised under her guiding light. So as a “doctor” I have to… Continue

It was 1976 and just about the whole base (in the hundreds) were in the sick

bay line. I never saw anything like it. I was young and had just joined. I

wasn't astute enough to refuse the vaccine at that time.

In a similar vein, my nephew was in Desert Storm and refused the pills they

were giving all of the marines at that time. He was one of the few… Continue

A Nation Under God

What will it be like by next year, in a land where many hold dear,

All under the auspices of man, while governed by a darker plan?

Are steps now being taken, where many today may be forsaken,

When they don’t fall into line, following plans, of a dark design?

Some say, this could never be, in this free land know for liberty!

But, what many do not realize, they’re lead by the Father of… Continue

Bill would give president emergency control of Internet

Bill would give president emergency control of Internet

Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet.

They're not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a West Virginia Democrat, have spent months drafting behind closed doors. CNET News has obtained a copy of the 55-page draft of S.773… Continue

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it… Continue

Israeli Psychologist on Obama

To listen and to watch the Obama administration endlessly spew the rhetoric of the Left replete with inconsistencies, is enough to give one chronic indigestion. The socialist lies abound.

And although there are many "socialist lies," I have a few favorite ones. You already know about the political spectrum, don't you?

This is the one where the socialists tell you that they are on the LEFT and that you are on the RIGHT. It goes somewhat like this, if you were to write it… Continue

Ten Commandments of Human Relations

The fundamental issue in human ethical behavior is summarized by Jesus in what we have come to call "The Golden Rule." Jesus put it this way:

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 7:12 TNIV).

It asks us to test our treatment of others by putting ourselves in their place. Treat others the way you would want them to treat you in the same or similar circumstance.

Somebody took that principle and translated it into Ten Commandments of Human Relations. You may have seen this anonymous piece, for it circulates in a variety of settings. In case you have missed it, I am reproducing it here.

Speak to people. There is nothing as nice as a cheerful word of greeting.

Smile at people. It takes 72 muscles to frown, only 14 to smile.

Call people by name. It is music to anyone’s ears to hear the sound of his or her name.

Be friendly and helpful.

Be cordial. Speak and act as if everything you do is genuinely a pleasure. If it isn’t, learn to make it so.

Be genuinely interested in people. You can like almost anyone, if you try.

Be generous with praise, cautious with criticism.

Be considerate of the feelings of others. There are usually three sides to a controversy — yours, the other fellow’s, and the correct one.

Be alert to serve. What counts most in life is what you do for others.

Live with a good sense of humor, a generous dose of patience, and a dash of humility appropriate to being human.

Made in God’s image, all of us have something to be valued!

The great challenge in human experience is not work skills, but people skills. That is, research has shown that the majority of people who fail in their vocation do so because they cannot get along with people.

You might think through the meaning of these ten common-sense ideas for your own workplace and personal activity. But what about the larger setting for your daily life? These principles work everywhere you go, for they are about showing respect to the people you meet in all those places.

Made in God’s image, all of us have something to be valued, affirmed, and acknowledged by others. But let it begin with us to acknowledge it in them. As the cycle of giving and receiving enlarges, the human community comes alive.
