Gun Confiscation in Ten Easy Steps (Author Unknown)

All the time fellow gun owners say things to me like, “Seriously, Steve, how would they possibly gather up all the hundreds of millions of guns that are out there?”

Well my naïve friend let me tell you how it works.

Step 1: Create an anti-gun culture and make guns and gun owners the bad guys at every turn:

On the evening news, every time a crime is reported, make sure there is a picture of a mean looking gun next to the chalk outline of a body. Portray hunters and sportsmen…

Wake Up!!!

I received this from a friend...can't vouch for the accuracy but it sure does make sense...

93 percent of Blacks, 71 percent of Hispanics and 72 percent of Asians voted for Obama, not because they identify with him, but because they identify against the White majority and answered his call for revenge. This is what is called low-level ethnic conflict. Higher levels are coming and it will be ethnic cleansing. Wait and see...

The problems we face today are there because the…

Obama Administration: UN Election Observers “Immune” to State Laws

Throwing down of gauntlets...are the American people just that dumb???

The Obama Administration made it clear that Texas better not arrest any UN election observers. They claim these observers have full immunity, regardless of state laws. This was in response to a statement Texas Attorney General Greg Abbot issued to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) telling them that their international election-observing representatives will be subject to criminal…

Obama went to bed...

From Chris Brocksmith:

“So even though Delta had forward staged to Sigonella Sicily (rumint) from base in Germany, nobody was willing or able to pull the trigger and send a rescue force. Or even a few F-18 supersonic flybys, to bust windows and warn, “Here comes American airpower, and you camel jockeys know what that means.” Just as a morale booster it would have helped the besieged staffers.

But it was never sent, not even a lousy supersonic low-level flyby. One hour from bases in…

I thought that Embassy land was American soil, which if is truely the case, then this "little" protest should have been considered an invasion, and appropriate military action taken...

Dems Don’t Like Your Guns –Their Adopted Platform Says So (GREAT ARTICLE!)

By Steve Sheldon / 10 September 2012

You didn’t hear it from DNC speakers last week on stage during prime-time or any other time for that matter, but the Democrats don’t like your guns and want to restrict both your access to them and ownership of them as much as possible. Their adopted platform says it all:

“Firearms. We recognize that the individual right to bear arms is an important part of the American tradition, and we will preserve Americans’ Second Amendment right to own…

1. To violate or go beyond the limits of.

2. To defeat: invalidate, To encroach upon something

INFRINGEMENT:  1. A violation, as of a law or agreement.

Coats Notes: Medical Device Tax Shows Administration Out of Touch

Bill Cook embodied the spirit of American innovation and free enterprise.

In 1963 Cook began making a new type of catheter out of the spare bedroom of his apartment. Over time, Cook grew his Bloomington, Indiana-based company into the world's largest family-owned medical device manufacturer.

Today Cook Medical is an international leader in medical health care manufacturing, producing medical technologies that are enhancing and saving lives across the globe. The Cook Group is…

Ten Commandments of Human Relations

The fundamental issue in human ethical behavior is summarized by Jesus in what we have come to call "The Golden Rule." Jesus put it this way:

So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 7:12 TNIV).

It asks us to test our treatment of others by putting ourselves in their place. Treat others the way you would want them to treat you in the same or similar circumstance.

Somebody took that principle and translated it into Ten Commandments of Human Relations. You may have seen this anonymous piece, for it circulates in a variety of settings. In case you have missed it, I am reproducing it here.

Speak to people. There is nothing as nice as a cheerful word of greeting.

Smile at people. It takes 72 muscles to frown, only 14 to smile.

Call people by name. It is music to anyone’s ears to hear the sound of his or her name.

Be friendly and helpful.

Be cordial. Speak and act as if everything you do is genuinely a pleasure. If it isn’t, learn to make it so.

Be genuinely interested in people. You can like almost anyone, if you try.

Be generous with praise, cautious with criticism.

Be considerate of the feelings of others. There are usually three sides to a controversy — yours, the other fellow’s, and the correct one.

Be alert to serve. What counts most in life is what you do for others.

Live with a good sense of humor, a generous dose of patience, and a dash of humility appropriate to being human.

Made in God’s image, all of us have something to be valued!

The great challenge in human experience is not work skills, but people skills. That is, research has shown that the majority of people who fail in their vocation do so because they cannot get along with people.

You might think through the meaning of these ten common-sense ideas for your own workplace and personal activity. But what about the larger setting for your daily life? These principles work everywhere you go, for they are about showing respect to the people you meet in all those places.

Made in God’s image, all of us have something to be valued, affirmed, and acknowledged by others. But let it begin with us to acknowledge it in them. As the cycle of giving and receiving enlarges, the human community comes alive.
